‘Mirage’: This is an oasis! We have been here for seven months and it’s time to leave northbound back to the states. It is with mixed emotions that we cast off our lines. During the past eleven years cruising the Pacific/ Atlantic/ Caribbean, we have stayed in many marinas. Absolutely none compare to Banana Bay Marina. At this marina, service, security, hospitality, and assistance are expressed and rendered in capital letters!! For the staff here, no task is too trivial or too difficult. The crew in the office, marina, and the restaurant, go that extra mile to insure that guests are comfortable, safe, well taken care of and feel “at home”. Those who have preceded us and will follow us are indeed fortunate to have such an available resource. We were strangers when we arrived, and are leaving with true friendship in our wake. Thank you! When one travels, there are only a few places that you visit that are special. Banana Bay Marina is one of those special places. It is a first class operation with competent management. Costa Rica is a wonderful country. While here at Banana Bay, I was able to take land trips, book flights, get boat service done, and just relax. I will have good memories of Golfito and Banana Bay Marina that will be with me for a very long time. Art Hedstrom

‘Windflower’: What a wonderful surprise! Banana Bay Marina was a cruisers “find” for our family. We’re heading home to California after four years out and about the world and our stop in Golfito, CR was a nice welcome back to the Pacific. You folks are friendly, peaceful, helpful and efficient.
